Sos Sahakyan
Sos Sahakyan was born on August 5, 1949, in the village of Damala in Javakhk. An economist, who graduated from Yerevan State University. Worked in various spheres of agro-industrial management in Armenia for about 20 years. He taught at the State Economic University of Armenia and the National Agrarian University of Armenia. After the collapse of the Soviet system, he worked for 5 years in Moscow and St. Petersburg, setting up his own business. In 1997, he returned to Armenia and founded his own business, which now employs over 1000 people. The products of his own confectionery are sold in Armenia, Georgia, Russia, the USA, and other countries. He is a member of the Presidium of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Armenia and head of the Armenia-Georgia cooperation group. Sos Sahakyan constantly carries out various charitable activities, especially in Javakhk, contributing to the solution of the problem of Armenian preservation, as well as to the social-cultural and economic issues of the region. With his support several churches were reopened in Javakhk, art festivals dedicated to the famous Armenian artists Vardges Surenyants and Vahram Gafechyan were held in Akhaltsikhe, the Union of “Armenian Creators” was established and successfully operates in Akhaltsikhe, and other events are regularly organized in Javakhk. A fund was established in the village of Damala, which deals with various problems of the village. At the end of 2013, on Sos Sahakyan’s direct initiative, the Javakhk Support Foundation was established in Yerevan, around which intellectuals of Javakhk origin and business world representatives unite. The Foundation has already taken its first serious steps. There is every reason to expand it and solve various problems. Sos Sahakyan’s family also sponsors and supports all the Gyumri “Shirak” soccer team activities.

Member of the Presidium of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Armenia. He was awarded the Anania Shirakatsi Medal (2015) for his significant work in the field of economy. He was also awarded the Prime Minister’s Commemorative Medal of the Republic of Armenia (2009) for his long and diligent work. Likewise, he is non-partisan. Seyran Vantsyan was born on May 2, 1951, in Bezhano village of Akhalkalaki district. One of the organizers of aviation in the Republic of Armenia. From 1957-1967 he studied at Bezhano High School. In 1974, he graduated from the Institute of Civil Aviation Engineers in Riga, and in 1990 he graduated from the higher command courses of the Civil Aviation Academy in St. Petersburg. Seyran Vantsyan 1988-1999. From Erebuni and local (Vardenis, Gavar, Martuni, Sisian, Goris, Kapan, Meghri, Jermuk) airports in Artsakh he organized and managed vital airlifts (weapons, ammunition, volunteer detachments, fuel, food) for the self-defense of the border regions of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, humanitarian aid) and the transportation of refugees, wounded and sick freedom fighters from Artsakh. In 2002, he was awarded the first degree Order of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic “Battle Cross” and the medal “For the Liberation of Shushi,” in 2010 he was awarded the first class medal of the Republic of Armenia “For Services to the Motherland.

In 1974, he began working in the 2nd Armenian Design Studio, which was led by the talented and distinguished architect Zaven Bakhshinyan. In 1982, he was transferred to the 5th studio. In 1989, the team elected him head of the studio. The artist worked until 2002. In 2001, he founded the company “ASHN PROJECT” and is still the company’s chief architect. From 1973-1976 he did his post-graduate studies at the Institute of Bio-Organic Chemistry named after Academician Shemyakin of the USSR Academy of Sciences, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor. 1983-2010 worked as an associate professor at the Department of General Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry of the Faculty of Chemistry and Technology of Yerevan Polytechnic Institute. Since 2010 has been working as an Associate Professor at the Department of General Chemistry and Chemical Processes of the State Engineering University of Armenia. He is the author of more than 100 scientific works published both in the RA and in foreign scientific journals, including 13 patents and patents, 7 textbooks, and guidelines for laboratory works. In 2009, he was recognized as “Man of the Year” by the Cambridge American Biographical Institute and awarded a gold medal.

Father George Sargsyan was born on March 30, 1987, in the village of Sukhlis in the Akhaltskha region of Georgia. His father, George Augustini Sargsyan, is a farmer, and his mother, Mariam Kazari Sargsyan, is a housewife. He received his primary education in the secondary school of the village up to VIII class, then continued with VIII, IX, and X classes in the secondary school № 15 of Vahan Teryan in Gyumri. In the last three grades of school since 2001 he studied at the “Nersisyan Seminary” in Gyumri.
He then continued his education in Yerevan. In 2006, he transferred to the newly opened Mekhitarist Seminary in Yerevan, and after 3 years of studying Armenian Studies and Philosophy, he moved to Venice, Italy, to the Congregation of St. Casar Mekhitarist Monastery. Having taken a one-year vow, he continued his studies, first 2 years of philosophy at the Patriarchal University of Venice and 4 years of theology at the “Laurentian” University of the Capuchin Monks. He received monastic ranks and in 2013 he fulfilled the vow of the immortality of the Mekhitarist Congregation, becoming a full member. In 2014, he has ordained a deacon, and in 2015 he served at the Holy Liturgy in memory of the Armenian Genocide, which His Holiness Pope Francis conducted at St. Peter’s Cathedral in the Vatican. On May 24, 2015, he and his brother were ordained priests. In 2016, he continued his studies at the “Gregorian University” of Rome and at the United Institute “Marianum”. He then moved to Armenia by order of a congregational elder to serve as deputy director of Mkhitaryan Seminary of Armenia. He also helps the villages of Georgia as a spiritual pastor.
